Being Righteous
You know that it is not my bag,
To be like others who will brag;
Of all the things that they have done,
Saying they are second to none.
It is the pride they hold within,
That God considers as a sin;
And makes His blood be running cold,
Someone being brazen and bold.
Christ has shown me of my true worth,
And my future beyond this earth;
For the value of faith like mine,
Has more power and will outshine.
I only want to know Jesus Christ,
Because of me was sacrificed;
And the might raising Him to life,
For relieving me of my strife.
Be glad you belong to the Lord,
For you will never be ignored;
The Lord God will always provide,
If you take the time and abide.
