She was a simple woman
Her love for God was strong
When told of the good news
She never thought it wrong
She felt so very blessed
To be the chosen one
To mother such a person
As God's own special Son
He was a righteous man
Divorce was on his mind
The angel said don't worry
To take her as his bride
Because of Joseph's faith
He did what he was told
He took her for his wife
For this was all foretold
They both relied on faith
They trusted in God's word
They knew there'd come a day
They'd witness such a birth
The odds were stacked against them
Though they were so afraid
They knew that God was with them

While in the fields at night
And tending to their flock
The angel came to tell them
About the Son of God
They all became afraid
For this was such a sight
The angel said don't worry
God's son's been born tonight
They went to Bethlehem
To see this special child
They found the mother Mary
With baby meek and mild
They spread the news of joy
Of all that they had seen
About the baby Jesus
Who is the Lord and king
They all relied on faith
They trusted in God's word

The Magi form the east
Did see the star so high
They knew the king was born
They knew this was the sign
The star led them to Jesus
They saw the newborn king
They worshipped and they praised him
With presents they did bring
Then God He warned the Magi
He did it in their dreams
Do not go to Herod
Go back to your countries
They did what God had told them
They took another route
They knew this was a risk
Their faith removed all doubt
They all relied on faith
They trusted in God's word
They knew this was the day
They'd witness such a birth

These are just examples
Of how we must all live
Whenever we have faith
Our Father He will give
He wants us to take risks
To spread his precious word
To go out in the world
To those who haven't heard
The love of Jesus Christ
Will always see us through
The harvest is a plenty
The workers they are few
The time is getting closer
Our time we cannot waste
And when it seems all useless
We must rely on faith
