There were many years
When life was mine
Not always happy
But most of the time
One day you awake
The years have gone
It's then you realize
Life has moved on
You look in the mirror
Shocked at what you see
This person has Grey hair
Surely it can't be me
If you could make up
For all the lost years
Wouldn't it be nice
To erase all the tears
All through life
You continue to say
I'll do it tomorrow
But not today
You tell yourself
All the good you'll do
Yet it means nothing
If you never follow through
There's nothing left
For you to find
Just the memories
Buried in your mind
Remember the good times
And forget the bad
Pretend the good times
Is all you had.
