Above Temptation

Beguile me not creature of the night
With your silken tongue and words of passion
There's no dormant ember left to ignite
Though torrid images in my mind you fashion

Your tempting façade; crumbles not my reserve
Skimpily clad and nonchalantly showing
Every tantalizingly and most perfect curve
Iridescent in the moonlight glowing

I'll not be beguiled by your jezebel charms
Your sugary words in pleasing rhyme
Desist I will from your reaching arms
Oh what the heck,
Perhaps I'll give in; this one more time?
