Parentally AdviceListen closely to what I teach, And please heed the words I beseech; You need to learn some common sense, So do not let your mind be dense. My advice is useful each day, So I ask do not turn away; It's to keep you on the right path, In sparing you from any wrath. When I was young about your age, I felt like I was in a cage; And get out for going wild, As a spoiled mother's child. My father said to keep in mind, To your mother always be kind; Learn of good sense and to be wise, You will find favor in God's eyes. If you value wisdom then love, Your mother from your heart thereof; Cherish every moment dear, For someday she will not be near.
