No Boasting
Do not boast about tomorrow,
For it might be bringing sorrow;
There might be a little surprise,
That is waiting for your demise.
As we know about Murphy's law,
A day can snag the slightest flaw;
And anything that can occur,
Just possibly and will incur.
Bragging is nothing but a sin,
That is corrupting you within;
And be causing your attitude,
In becoming extremely rude.
It asserts your pride as you boast,
Causing you to others the most;
You become vain building conceit,
And even lie using deceit.
Thank the Lord God for each new day,
Starting by kneeling as you pray;
Asking Him to remain inside,
Throughout the day to be your guide.
