visit to st annstonight i visited st Ann's they had painted the grounds the trees and the squirrels i thought i was in another world the psychiatrist beckoned me invited me in to stay for tea the staff wore uniforms of red and white and the patients were well out sight it was a weird place the sandbanks were high and the water was blue it was overlooking the best view in Poole studland was not far away and Dr sulk asked me to stay for a holiday it was a surprise but i noticed the funny look in his eyes the gym was full with active care someone felt sorry for me offered me a chair the toilets were unblocked its true but the weather clock chimed ten past two it was a funny day then someone escorted me to the loo though i didn't want to go they said it was time later on i gained a friend he said I'm not a patient yet i just pretend keeps em appy the staff were friendly as could be made me a nice cup of tea tasted funny someone whispered bromide so i asked for another for my invisible brother at ten to four they closed the door after everyone had absconded including the staff and my brother Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
