boy scouts at carey camp

i once was a boy scout at Carey schools camp
we put up our tents and sang our camp songs
around campfires of logs  neath pine trees so tall
we listened to sounds of wood pigeons call

we walked through the purbecks and corfe in one day
we carried our rucksacks full pack all the way
then we had breakfast at the foot of the hill
neath the castle of bankes  and i remember it still

we rode out to brownsea home of our clan
had a nice red complexion and a lovely dark tan
we did all the actions and sang all the songs
thats how we grew up healthy and strong
