Nightmares
Lying sleepless in my bed
Screaming demons in my head
Fearful cries they pierce my ears
Bringing back so many fears
Shadows dancing on the wall
Hear my name as demons call
Heart beats twice the speed of light
Someone help me through this night
Wind is howling from outside
Beneath the covers I do hide
Thunder crashes with a boom
I'm feeling helpless in my room
Curtains blowing in the air
There is no cure for these nightmares
I close my eyes and try to sleep
I clear my mind and count the sheep
They run too fast within my mind
They run right pass me I'm left behind
My mind is spinning round and round
I cannot touch my feet to ground
Oh someone help this weary soul
My body sweats but I'm still cold
I need some help I need a prayer
Please rid me of these strange nightmares
