 The Unfairness Of Angels

camp stories

Those drifting embers of the fire
Orange and red burning through the autumn air
The sparkle and hissing of the ashes wood
Giving orders to the fire soldiers
To go out and up in to a different world
To spread the stories of the fire
To tell others about the tears and the lies and the laughter
Up into the bleak clouds above
To the dead and the enlightened ones
The tales of spin the bottle of love and lust revisited
And of rejection, the shadow of all fires
The burning fire that holds the truth behind the smile
The fire that dries the watery eyes
The fire that forces a cycle of friendship
The burning fire that burns within
The fire of the camp stories.
