Remanent of life

Hope is my encouragement
but life's not an easy sell
 one wrong decision
and you'll go through hell
When I look to the skies
heaven seems so far away
but I know the hope of my tears
  God sees when I pray
Truth is my inspiration
but the darkness has it's draw
 when I move too close
she tries to strike me with her paw
 and all I can do is pray
Thank God I was able to escape
the beast called Night and Day
