The Lord's Supper
You have already been told,
What was about to unfold;
On the night Christ was betrayed,
For our debt to be paid.
As He took and broke some bread,
He gave to all and then said;
His body broken for you,
Take and eat it to construe.
Then He took a cup of wine,
As the blood of the Divine;
A new covenant to drink,
As they sip they were to think.
So while they drank and ate,
Think of laws they violate;
And to know the reason why,
All our bodies must die.
But with a new covenant,
We will have a permanent;
Body that will not wear out,
For those who will shed no doubt.
