From Death to Life
In the past you were dead,
Since you sinned against God;
But now you have been fed,
New life that you applaud.
You followed way of earth,
As you obeyed Satan;
And not given rebirth,
Your life could not straighten.
This world is what he rules,
His spirit has power;
To make us all his fools,
And our lives sour.
He knows the desires,
Of the body and mind;
And how to light fires,
Making us maligned.
But God loved us so much,
And sent His Son to save;
If your soul let Him touch,
Christ pulls you from the grave.
