When someone opens your mind
Tho` they think they`re being kind
It`s no fun for you to see
What can never ever be.
They show you what is out there
But life is not very fair,
It seems out of reach to you
And this leaves you feeling blue.
You glimpse paradise in the raw
Your heart cries because you want more,
There`s things out there you never had
Knowing you can`t have them makes you sad.
You start to become restless
But this is really useless,
You just become discontent
And your life you soon resent.
What was happiness to you
Now makes you feel all so blue,
Another world has opened up
And you want to drink from that cup.
Hang on in there don`t give up
The elixir of life you`ll sup,
To be happy you have to strive
Then all your dreams will come alive.
