We know what we want and so we dream
So then we begin to plot and scheme,
Then we wait for it all to take place
In anticipation our heart will race.
We smile and we`re happy at the thought
Wrapt in our hopes and dreams we are caught,
Nothing else seems to matter at all
We just can`t wait for it to befall.
Along comes a spanner in the works
This soon removes all of our smirks,
Our plans have been trashed beyond belief
All we feel now is nothing but grief.
Our plans are gone for now at least
But our dreams will never be decreased,
We will say they are just on hold
This is how we`ll have to be consoled.
