Jars of Clay
We are like jars of clay,
That a treasure is stored;
As we set on a tray,
Awaiting to be poured.
God molded with His hands,
Ensured we are not blind;
For all things He commands,
We have eyes and a mind.
That is if we believe,
He has given us sight;
And able to receive,
His treasure through the light.
Sin makes us spring a leak,
And hardens from the lust;
And then brittle and weak,
Having a lost of trust.
But Christ can mold again,
Having the proper glue;
Sealing leaks where had been,
Able to make us new.
