Thank you dear Lord for your mercy,
I appreciate your personal care,
Thank you dear Lord for creation,
The garden that you and I share.
Thank you dear Lord for friends
Folks you have sent my way,
Thank you dear Lord for listening,
And I ask you to bless them today.
Dear Lord, some of my friends suffer grief.
Lost their soul mate or even a child,
May your comfort bring them relief.
Dear Lord some of my friends are so lonely.
They feel lost, abandoned maybe.
Bless them Lord with your faithful company.
Dear Lord, some of my friends are so weary,
Tired from the struggles of life,
Lord, empower them with strength and wisdom.
Dear Lord, most of all bring hope and joy,
Our world is sick with sin's consequence,
Through your Spirit Lord, open our understanding,
Of your eternal glory and power,
Of your purity and righteousness,
Of your mercy and love.
Lord, through your Spirit,
Teach us the truth of the Cross,
That we my receive your joy and hope
And have hearts that eternally sing your praise.
