Poetic-Verses from ATHANASE

Against False Poets (English)

Against False Poets

'Passer-by, here lies a wolf in sheep's clothing.
He fooled people by selling them bubbles
then, like a bubble, he burst.'

          Ulrich von Hutten

Jean, my friend, you're on a thousand and one judging panels,
you hold court in literary salons, on the radio, in the papers
you dole out awards, your arse is never in one place for long
but tell me, old pal, when do you have time to write?

Jean, my friend, you're one of the bastard school of poets
those who, without writing a line, are crowned with glory.
