Being Acceptable to God
Be glad you belong to the Lord,
And in being of one accord;
Although I have written before,
It's to encourage and make sure.
It is really for your own good,
Reminding you just what you should;
Be doing what He will applaud,
And is acceptable to God.
What once thought of the Lord to bless,
Hold no value and are worthless;
For anything found on this earth,
Actually is having no worth.
So all I want is to know Christ,
And no longer to be enticed;
By any of the worldly things,
Or the unrighteousness it brings.
Just let me suffer and to die,
The same as Christ and not ask why;
Then to be raised to life again,
In eternity to begin.
