Would I have checked to see the gun was loaded?
The day the front door dad kicked in exploded
Who knows what life would have been for me?
At the age of sixteen they might have set me free
But the day I said and waited, "Dad turn around!"
I would have hit him from behind and not made a sound
That's a doover I would do
The times I skipped class in school
That's another doover I would do
The day I let my temper get the best of me
Another of those doovers don't you agree
There are so many doovers in this life of mine
But you know looking back things have turned out fine
I don't have control of how things in my world will be
So what I do the first time is how things will be for me
