WILL SPRING EVER ARRIVE?

Morning finds all the kids a sleeping;
And me awake with the blues, as rain is weeping.
Gee Grandpa, when can we go out and play?
Sure for the blues need a sunny day.
Shot some hoops last night in the rain,
Now this morning all the sinuses do drain!
Cottage Lake creek is now overflowing,
And yet some signs of Spring are showing.
First day of May no sign for once of snowing.
I will forget these dull days in late summer;
When they talk of drought,--ooh isn't life a bummer?
All I can do is watch the rain look for the sun,
Kids wake up---I think we have an hour of fun!
