IMAGINE
What if status gained no privilege
and color no effect?
What if each soul knew his merit
and his fellow-man's respect?
What if life itself was valued
and preserved without debate?
What if growing old was not despised,
its wisdom gone to waste?
What if children's tranquil shelters
were in parents' watchful arms?
What if violence and abuse
were just dictionary terms?
What if hatred, lust, instinct and sex
had not become our lords?
What if man desired God's wisdom,
craving His inerrant Word?
What if dignity and honesty
provoked praise and applause?
What if "peace" was more than greed
disguised to rally for its cause?
What if truth had no impostors,
no glib interpretations?
What if man, raised from dust
dared not dispute Divine Creation?
What if each one's goals were
"expect no evil;inflict no harm?"
Then the world would dwell in peace
with God as Captain of its storms.

Isaiah 26:3 [NCV]
You, Lord, give true peace
to those who depend on You,
because they trust You.
