Aint Doin This No More



 
 



The morning has come again
The ~Have Too's~ now all done
The ~Should Do's~
Now are waiting
For the ~Want To's~
To find a way to come


Round and round the angel rides
Upon a floor that's sinking fast
What have I done
A question she finds herself
More and more to ask



Gee just look
There are my counters and my floor
It seems as hard as I try
I hardley see them anymore

Oh no again they are all gone

Where'd go as Joseph often asks
When he is in search
Of his bedroom floor


I pick up
You put down
Impossible the battle to be won


It seems that scattering
Every single toy
Is really lots of fun


It's not enough
I have a Hobby Horse
In my front room
That I could ride upon


J-O-S-E-P-H!!

Sorry Mom
We got to run


Well Mom is always on the run
And I'm not finding it much fun



Home is a shadow
Of what it used to be
It seems . . .
I am the only one
That takes the time to see


Grandpa has just learned
To shut his eyes cause in truth
I think he feels sorry for me


~Warning ~ Warning~
PATIENCE  wearing thin


I tell you true my family
Get your feet unstuck from the floor
Cause Mom and Grandma
Just ain't doing this no more



Perseverance is one thing
But when your battle's lost
Before it's begun
It gets very hard just to say
"Oh well"
When you greet another rising sun


So take a good look
Around you folks
Cause the strike has just begun


You want to live like this
Well I'll let you have your fun


Just remember though  
When the Lion rises from his chair
All this mess
Now belongs all to you


Maybe then you will realize . . .

YOU  have things to do!!!




Heading for a blindfold
And a good Old fashion dose of

"Don't bother me one bit!"


Footnote:

Windex and paper towels
Are in the kitchen
Vacume and dustrag
Spotlifter and Comet
Are in the hall closet


Have to dig for them
Hmmmmmmmm
OH WELL!

Wonder how the closet got that way



Have fun!
Cause this Mom, Wife,
Grandma and Aspiring Angel
Is officially on strike!!!!!
