Untouched

Though time hands on the clock do move
Each second a tick in hopes to prove
That all things upon this earth do end
True love withstands, it does not bend
Though disasters attempt to ravage earth
Shaking the ground with menacing mirth
To show that things made can be broken
A heart is not merely some meager token
Though sun and moon pass in a glance
Chasing one another in a celestial dance
To show that all light can turn dark
The fire of desire never loses its spark
Though creatures fade from land and sea
Left to be in myth and make believe
Leaving doubt of all that was once
A souls mate lives, alive, untouched
Eternity can pass, the days can fly
Yet the heart and soul can not deny
That once joined, they are forever bound
When all seems passed, love is still found
