A Paradise Vision
I would not be a fool,
Even if I did brag;
I do not ridicule,
Another that may lag.
I simply speak the truth,
By saying not too much,
Nor in being uncouth,
On the nerve I may touch.
Not one of you will think,
Higher of me than you;
With seeing in a wink,
What I saw in full view.
The wondrous things I saw,
Up into Paradise;
The beauty and the awe,
That came at such a price.
I beg that you depart,
From all your sinful path;
And God cleanses your heart,
For avoiding His wrath.
