Best Friend
It's good having a friend,
Than to be all alone;
Someone that will extend,
A hand when on your own.
Two is better than one,
Just by what you will learn;
For getting a job done,
Experience you earn.
If you happen to fall,
Your friend can render aid;
As they answer the call,
To help you make the grade.
You may be young and poor,
Or may be old and wise;
A friend opens the door,
And able to advise.
Not any friend I speak,
The one and only Christ;
Who helps you when you're weak,
Stops you getting enticed.
