"Happy 4th. of July!"
With fireworks exploding
In the darkness, of night
Giving rise to our adrenalin
As we view the awesome sight
It brought to mind, the reason
This day. . . So special and grand
Passing through many a wary season
Our Nation, not wavering, does stand
Many years ago. . . . In 1776
"Independence Day" got its start
The United States, a various mix
Becoming one, with pride in each heart
Wars have been fought to protect
America, the Home of the brave. . .
Our flag waving, proud and erect
As many sacrificed, with an early grave
The eagle . . . Signifying strength
And A strong bond, in our Nation
Standing together, at any length
Give rise and cause, for celebration
On this day, with "War" at hand
Prayer's and hopes, are for our men
Bravely fighting, guarding our land
Displaying courage, again and again
So, as we plan for this special day
With picnics' and party's everywhere
Remember our Soldier's, who are away
Let's honor them and show we care. . .
As the bright lights, explode above
And stirred excitement, fills the air
Let's utter a special prayer of love
For men at war. . . Way over there
And as the lights fizzle in the sky
With smoke, as far as you can see
Remember the reason . . . for this day
It's so we can live a life, that is free
During this great celebration . . .
Some will laugh, some will cry
Yet, we are all filled with elation
This Independence Day . . .
