Forget the Past
Do not think about the past,
That had happened long ago;
For time moves so very fast,
So much history to know.
There will soon be something new,
Making fertile dessert sands;
You will be able to view,
Streams over a thirsty land.
You have become so weary,
All because you turn away,
Causing a life that's dreary;
From pleasures that make you stray.
The animals are not grim,
Since they know God will provide,
For each of them honors Him;
And are willing to abide.
The Lord will forget your sins,
If you will merely repent;
And give new life that begins,
When no longer circumvent.
