I feel complete silence
When I look upon this picture
Even with the music playing
It stands in peace
Within its silence
Just beyond what I can see
Such a beautiful vision
Stands before me as
I step within to live beyond
I can almost see Heaven
From here
Stepping beyond this picture
To me
Would suggest stepping
Into the vastness of heaven
With the certainty that
My hills and valleys
Walked in faith
Has brought me to this day
As I step beyond . . .
Funny what you can see
Within a picture
Each of us step aboard
A silent train
From the moment we
Find our first breath
A narrow path that is
Ours alone to travel
Collecting and leaving
Baggage all along the way
No two journeys in life
Will ever be the same
But to each journey's end
Stands the steps
That must somehow
Remain to move foward
Through the beautiful green
Of times when birds sang
To times of . . .
How do I always seem to find
A new problem to solve
With answers so hard to find
. . .And life continues on
To what is predestined
To be the hour of our death
The journey sometimes weary
But just look ....
Look what is waiting just ahead
Of our earthly ending
Stepping beyond lifes journey
Into everlasting light and peace
