Hatred is such a waste of time
We share this world friend of mine
One day we took up our fists to fight
He was black and I was white
In hatred we had met that day
And each of us troubled went our way
The world is small and on a corner we met
And looked at each other misunderstood--and yet?
Both were men we knew we should make amends
And from that time on best of friends
In this world hatreds have gone on forever
No one man can solve the hate or is that clever
each of us must look and say you and I are friends
One by one unite, then and only then the waring ends
