Believer as a Hearer
Though we still have the Word of God,
That we give true honor and laud;
We come to rest and go in fear,
While others can not be near.
Truly I say that we proclaim,
For certain that the Good News came;
But for some hearing is no good,
For their faith is not as it should.
They are not joined with true hearers,
People with faith of adherers.
Since they really can not believe,
Of what they will truly receive.
For those who do have the belief,
Will come to rest having no grief;
While knowing their job is done,
In pleasing God also the Son.
Let His voice come into their ears,
And He will get rid of the fears;
Softening up a hardened heart,
For giving them a brand new start.
