If
the population of China
All together shouted Bang
What would be the effect
On the folk of Hindustan
Would there appear
Underneath their feet
Large expanding cracks
In every Chinese street
Would the voices combine
in a huge and rising cloud
Of concentrated pure
Unadulterated loud.
In continental Europe
Would it pour with rain
Irrigating those parts
Of once arid Spain
Would clouds surge to heaven
Would birds cease to sing
Would it rain in Barnsley
Would it affect everything
Or
Would the inhabitants of Neasden
Just shrug their shoulders and say
I suppose it’s a slightly different
Way to start off the working day
And
Would the population of Britain
As I suppose I really suspect
Say just a bunch of foreigners
What more can you expect
So
Would the Earth tremble
Would it affect the weather
If the population of China
All shouted Bang together
