I think the sun has gone on its holidays
`Cause it has done nothing but rain for days,
Grey skies and heavy clouds are all I can see
The suns` gone that`s how it appears to be.
Things are gloomy when the sun doesn`t shine
And it plays havoc with this mood of mine,
The rain seems to have taken its place
Our summer weather is a disgrace.
The sun has gone and deserted the sky
And now the clouds do nothing but cry,
They burst forth and drench everything in sight
They cry all day and the whole of the night.
I hope the sun will hasten its return
So that we can get some nice sun-burn,
It would be nice to go home with a tan
If it comes back in time I know we can.
But for now the sun is on holiday
This is a fact much to my dismay,
I hope it returns all sunny and bright
This will make me smile with delight.
