The fiercely blazing yellow eyes of a ravenous wolf
peer intently through the mist enshrouded forest.
A low growl eminates from it's throat interupting
the silence of the deep purple-blue of the starless
night as he searches for a hapless victim to satiate
the terrible,blood thirtsy hunger that screams to be
satisfied.
An owl screetchs eerily as it glides through the dark
night seeking an unwary rodent to quench his hunger.
The high pitched yelps of the coyotes mingles with the
chorus of the wolf as they scour the misty plains in
search of an easy meal.
An old,powerful buck looks around warily as his senses
become alerted to the danger that lurks in the dark grasses
beside the meandering pristine stream where his does drink.
Finally all becomes deathly quiet and still as the sun
begins to rise bathing the dark floor of the mossy valley
with it's wonderfully cheerful golden light ending another
perilous night,and sending the hungry predators to their dens
to await the night.
