If only it was you...?

Above reproach our gods parade
cushioned from the fall,
surrounded neat with all that's sweet
they have no fear at all.

Producers here directors there…
a face pad for the smell,
perfumed baths… exotic laughs
they're all as rich as hell!

Our Demigods are so fearless
bringing cameras to the poor
through death and pain we smile;
Lets hear the good fans roar!

Well groomed behind those high walls
mankind humbled by their charm,
we rush and push for headlines…
if one should come to harm.

Our lives are ruled by their lives
 each camera flash a meal,
and as they fall as do us all…
life seems just to real.

Then twenty years since passing
their name still spoke out loud,
and those that followed truly…
always feeling very proud.

Their names will live forever
their life for us to view,
and wish a happy ending;
IF only it was you!!??
