I cannot feel your pain
Nor would I wish you to feel mine
I can only comfort you
As I wish you might comfort me
On her death bed I watched my mother die
I could only wonder why
Faith tells me I will see her by and by
The day my sister went away
Our youth the two of us would play
She walks around and knows not where she is
Alzheimer's in darkness she lives
Yet there is pain even in the silence gives
Cannot feel the pain I know someday it might be mine
Let it be we are caregivers to our sisters and our brothers
Though we can't feel it we all share the pain
