FIXATED

FIXATED

Fixated, I stare into a rosaniline fire
Flames become towers, stretching higher
Picturing many faces, towns and so much more
I can't seem to move, I am stoked by the roar

Time seems to vanish inside the amber shade
This spellbound existence of visions on parade
The clock above the fireplace suddenly stops
The flames ignite a garden of tiny coral drops

I see a puzzle as the fire breathes in and out
Footsteps and illusions crackling all about
The fire ignites me within its hellish blaze
A myriad of wonders housed inside this gaze

A kindling of a ménage, dreams that take hold
The cozy white cottage in burning shades of gold
A rendezvous remembered, flames caress me still
Look into the fireplace to our night upon the hill
