THE MISERIES
THE MISERIES
I`ve got the miseries why oh! why
All day long I`ve done nothing but sigh,
I know I shouldn`t ever feel down
`Cause I have my own personal clown.
Sometimes tho` miracles he can`t do
I feel so down and I am so blue,
Maybe it`s this and maybe it`s that
I`ll just wear my miserable hat.
I don`t want to laugh I want to cry
I wouldn`t even have to try,
Tears could flow in the blink of any eye
In between a sob and a sigh.
It only takes something very small
Maybe if I try I can recall,
Something happens and my spirits fall
Then my tears they come to call.
A word, an action can get me down
Lack of either too can make me frown,
Inside me the answer`s locked away
Perhaps my heart would sooner not say.
I`ll go to bed now and close my eyes
And try to still all my sobbing cries,
I`ll put today behind me for sure
Don`t want the miseries any more.
