 After All These Years

Beneath the mask…
Beneath the hard shell…
Beneath the war paint…
lives a once young man
that still weeps when
taps are played, Oh'Say
can you see…, is sang,
or Old Glory is folded
in a neat triangle and
the salute is sharply
rendered for the last time.

 Still tears…
After all these years!
