I kissed the lines on your beautiful face

I was driving my car to work this morning
Yes mum I now drive, how worrying
And whilst waiting by the lights at Brentford
Just by the station, your voice I heard

And for a brief second, I had a flashback
And my heart sank as I wanted you back
The beep of the horn behind me
Brought me back to reality

But for that second I was lost in space
I kissed the lines on your beautiful face
I now live alone, in the house, Number 4
And although I have Maurice, I can not ignore

The pictures, the photos, the plates on the wall
I remember a time we had it all
The parties, the Christmases, a house full of fun
Never did I think I'd be the last one

And although I know, I will be fine
I often get trapped in a zone with no time
And for that split second, I'm lost in space
I kiss the lines on your beautiful face

I remember kissing those lines on your beautiful face
As I wipe the tears which fall and I trace
Feeling the need to gently grace
The lines which are yours on my beautiful face.
