Struggle against Covetousness
What is the cause of wars,
The fighting that abhors;
Do you not desire,
Putting out hate fires.
You fight in making war,
On a far distant shore;
But never made request,
Of unstable unrest.
Your request not honored,
Too many times altered;
Since it was wrongly made,
And you have disobeyed.
Your struggle is your own,
Not from who's on the throne;
The distant shore is lust,
That you put all your trust.
Something for your pleasure,
God can never treasure;
And it has been known to God,
That your prayer is a fraud.
Please think before you ask,
Is it a valid task;
That I ask of the Lord,
Or will it be ignored.
