They say my house value went up ten percent
Gimme a break old neighbors are living in a tent
They bought their homes with Monopoly dollars
And now it is the banking system that hollers
I built my home for less than a hundred thousand dollars

All the home lenders are asking for a bail out
The CEO's are rushing to sell their stocks and shout
"Help me--help I'm losing my two summer homes"
Maybe selling their greed will pay off all the loans

People were buying things putting without money on a card
Figuring out the problem isn't really that hard
But finding a solution I don't trust those who got us into this thing
And paying more inflated taxes will not an end to this bring
I think I will run for President doesn't take much qualification
I'd be as good as any of the candidates to run this nation
Someone has to do something soon time is a wasting
Maybe we should bring property taxes down instead of up
