A Secret Life
If you have a new life,
It must be then through Christ;
Although toils and strife,
You must not be enticed.
The blessings that are given,
When you give attention;
To the things of Heaven,
That eases your tension.
Christ the Lord is seated,
At the right hand of God;
Death has been defeated,
As the angels applaud.
So always keep your mind,
On all the higher things;
This earth is so unkind,
By the evil it brings.
Your life on earth is done,
To start a secret life;
With the Father and Son,
Away from earthly strife.
