I might have been one if I could pass Biology
Wanted me President if I could understand economics
I was almost elected President once my sophomore year
It was, "I Like Ike!" a mock election for sure
I was so surprised--a girl nominated me, and yes
You needed a second and another girl seconded
I knew it was a setup--Sandi was cute, a cheerleader
The boys had a crush---the girls would vote girl
So what I had to do was learn about politics
On election day, much like Harry Truman I was dead
The only surprise was the results---15 to 14 and
Yes I lost,,but I had more girl votes and there was
a study of all votes. Girl votes and boy votes
The teacher took me aside and said, "Dandy, why
didn't you vote for yourself?" I studied the issues
Voting is not a popularity contest. Sandy had a 3.2
grade average and was passing in economics and Biology
This is a very important election, I hope you are
studying the issues and this does not turn into a
popularity contest. Our boys need your support
This is no way anti Sarah Palin or black it is pro
American. Find in your heart who is pro America
