In the Prose of Passion
A Distant Land
Sitting on the warm soft sand
Staring out at the sea
I dream about a distant land
A land for you and me
We're lying in a bed of grass
While birds they sing their songs
We think of all the seasons passed
And how our love was strong
The clouds are floating in the sky
As images are formed
Your beauty's like a butterfly
Surviving all the storms
The sun begins to settle down
The moon begins to rise
You speak to me without a sound
I look into your eyes
It's time for us to go to sleep
I hold you in my arms
We lay there and we count the sheep
Protected from all harm
