Not for Boasting Purposes
I do not ask you to agree,
Rather the insight for to see;
Truly what is really inside,
Having a chance in taking pride.
But it is not the boastful kind,
That swells up the head and the mind;
Rather that which is glory filled,
That your righteousness is instilled.
This pride does not stay in the heart,
Which would corrupt it to impart;
Rather it remains in your soul,
Where His Spirit keeping control.
It is to God if we are fools,
When we are ignoring the rules;
If it is good it is for you,
With telling everything true.
It is the love of Christ which moves,
Righteously while it behooves;
If one put to death as we thought,
Then death should be just as they ought.
But at peace with God then will be,
Through Christ a light as you will see;
Giving a new reality,
A lifetime in eternity.
