If any man comes after Christ,
Let him also be sacrificed;
Able to feel and suffer loss,
So let him pick up his own cross.
Whosoever that wants to choose,
To save his own life then will lose;
But whoever that will forfeit,
Shall have the Good News and save it.
If a rich man does have it all,
What will he gain when Christ does call;
Losing more than life when he goes,
Plus his treasure and all his clothes.
What would a man give in exchange,
For his life that he could arrange;
That would be equal to the cost,
For what Christ suffered that He lost.
Whoever is feeling of shame,
Let him go about and proclaim;
His return in glory once more,
With holy angels to restore.
