 I killed Kurt

The secret I've kept has really hurt
Of how i was responsible for killing Kurt
I was only 17, a young lad
I didn't mean do anyhing bad
For it was in the summer of 1991
That I admit to you, I killed someone
I was just getting into the gig scene
Enjoying my teenage dream
Moshing infront of concert halls
Stage diving into a pit of fools
Heavy Metal, Rock and Punk
I was a teenage kid full of spunk
In August 1991, me and my friends
Went to Reading to watch some legends
Reading festival is a 3 day event
And it was the first time we had went
Armed with beers and lots of drugs
We assembled a group of West London thugs
Now headlining on the Saturday night
Was Nirvana, so we got as high as a kite
We went early to see the other bands
Even though we weren't their biggest fans
Under the Berkshire Sun, we drank beer
The spliffs were sparked and we had no fear
We managed to get near the front of the stage
We were young animals let out of a cage
Moshing, jumping about, and causing Drama
Until at last they came on; NIVARNA!
We had been drinking all day
But we were kids on a music holiday
Standing for hours throughout the pain
Was worth it to see Kurt Cobain
He came on in a straight jacket and wheelchair
There was madness in his stare
They played hit after hit
And we loved it
The crowd became a sea of moshers
And that's when I threw my can of fosters
It was half full and I chucked it long
And it hit Kurt on the head, mid song
But like the legend he is
He blew to me a loving kiss
Afterwards the beer thrown at Kurt
Was a legend which had to be heard
Yet shortly after Nirvana arrived back in the USA
Kurt blew himself away
I think the can I threw caused  him pain
And thus I admit, I killed Kurt Cobain!

~~Dedicated to the new and very attractive Receptionist at my work, named Jess, who but in a short period of time has made me see the error of my ways, and made owe up to my long term suffering shame of killing kurt Cobain~~
