unabridged poem
I painted a lovely glowing rainbow in the far blue cloudless sky with bright hues of my sincere heart I sketched my thoughts on it with grace I gazed and gazed at it all day long I knew you loved to own it as yours Both of us were afar to touch it the rainbow shone above our heads It washed away by sudden downpours we consoled our hearts with a warm embrace like straying leaves in autumn winds I found the colours scatter around us No those pretty glowing hues anywhere all gone with rain nothing was there I looked at your eyes with a great care you left me as nothing happened there you appear and disappear in front of my eyes your image made me happy through blurred tears I can't blame you,me or untimely downpours No matter how hard to endure ; time heals all By Swarnapali Liyanage
