Every night I dream of that fair
far off land that gave birth to
my ancestors.
That sweet, beautiful land of glorious
bounty that gave up its riches to
bring wealth and glory to my forefathers.
I dream of that far wonderful land that
gave me birth and taught me the precious
lessons of life.
Of that glorious place that gave me my job,
home, wife,and children.
I dream of that sweet place that gave me wisdom,
dignity,patience,and forbearance.
That lovely place where I learned who I am
through deep reflection and perseverance.
And I dream of going back to my beloved homeland
triumphant when all of my battles have at last
been won.
